I'm pretty excited, especially since my daddy gave me a lot of money to spend, since this is the annual shopping spree for new clothes for the summer. But unfortunately, unlike Madeline, i can't just spend it freely on coach or vera bradley..... I'm just getting shorts.... and maybe like one t shirt *sigh*

but anyways, more on my story later, nothing important has really happened~

Anyways, I thought since I have nothing better to do, I'll post some random reviews.

....the components of the story are nice. :) It starts off well and the characters are believable- UntitledMess

...i like the quotes in the beginning of each chapter. this has a lot of potential. the prologue was adorable and the characters were likeable- cara_ruegg

.....Phineas and Ferb is one of my all time favorite shows ever. Seriously.

um yeah hello *insert random title name here*

okay, so firstly I changed the main character in COLORED's age.... she is now ten, instead of twelve. I realized the way I developed her was a bit more childish and she seemed younger to me.

ALTP UDATE: now about 76 pages..... I'm guessing, too lazy to count. maybe more, probably not less.

btw...... this is what i pictured Madeline would look like. :D

Yay, starting new book!

okay, I know I'm writing a little too perfect and all, but everyone needs a side project, right? After I'm finished ALTP, I'll get more serious about this other story, right now it's just for fun.

SO.... I got inspired to start writing this because we are learning about segregation right now in reading, and it's just horrible how black and whites were seperated!

Here's the summary: (btw, it's called COLORED)

In the state of Alabama, racism is a real big problem. It's 1955, and all the whites are hating the blacks. Tate Beverly is twelve years old, and already she's seen too much. Her father won't hire any african american even if his life depended on it, and her mother forbids her from communicating with the new neighbor's adopted black child, Sadie. But when everyone around her is giving threats to the brown-skinned, Tate tries to stand up for them, even it means disappointing her own family.
